hole in outer (plastic) drum on front load washer

kenmore he3 . . . I inadvertently left a small bit in my pocket and it came through the plastic outer drum. Hole about the size of dime or nickle. Any way to fix this hole. Otherwise washer is in excellent shape

Can you patch it with a fiberglass patch kit? I have no experience, but boats are made of fiberglass :)

Too much risk to patch is what I found out. Possibility of leak would be very bad for me . . . so I bought an LG. It is a better design and higher quality washer then the Kenmore front loader.
They hauled the Kenmore to the boneyard.
