Laundering new duvet after benzoyl peroxide

nappyhairbigteethAugust 21, 2011

Hi all,

I don't know if there is any solution to my problem, but if there is, I figured someone here might have it. I fell asleep on top of my new, blue, 70% pima cotton/30% combed cotton duvet and I had benzoyl peroxide acne cream on my face. The duvet is bleached in the area where my face was, not surprisingly.

Now, I want to wash the duvet, but I am concerned about further bleaching when it's in the wash and the benzoyl peroxide/bleach starts to disperse. Is there any way to limit or prevent further bleaching when I wash it?

Water should dulute the peroxide with no problem. Also peroxide becomes inactive once it is exposed to air for a period of time.

I can recommend a reputable pharmacy (Benzoyl Peroxide) - Good price and quality.

Here is a link that might be useful: Order Benzoyl Peroxide
