HVAC System Change - 4 Ton price review

AspectMarauderNovember 5, 2011

I want to run this post buy the resident experts. I think I got a good deal based on research on this website and talking with various HVAC companies.

So I used Costco who negoiates deals with various Lennox dealers throughout the country. I was originally looking at CArrier systems but for what I was looking for(Dual fuel, air purification, etc) the price was too high. HEre is what I purchased.

Lennox signiture collection XP17 - 17 Seer AC/heatpump

SL280V 80% 2 stage variable speed vurnace

Lennox Pure Air - Air Purification system

icomfort touchscreen remote

20 year Parts Warranty on Heat Exchanger

10 Years PArts on everything else

5 Year Labor

$9995 before rebates

$7760 after rebates, credits, etc

A couple of questions.

What is your location?

What size is your home?

What size furnace and AC was existing?

What size furnace and HP were you quoted?

What mdl evap coil was quoted?

New lineset installed?

New thermostat has outdoor sensor for DF operation?

What is nat gas rate and your electric rate?

I think it is a mistake purchasing HVAC through big box stores including Costco.

Post back.
