Ground Loop install

cschmelzOctober 29, 2010

I'm in the process of a central Washington state ground loop install.

Climatemaster 27, Ruud 50gal heat pump water heater with depowered 50gal tank w/ DSH.

Ground loop consists of 150ft header trench with 7 200 foot long trenches running off it, each with 800ft of tubing. Total system is setup for 5 tons.

Drilling deeper usually works better and costs less.

The temperature of the earth increases the deeper you go, and becomes more stable (less to no daily change).

Is that enough science?
