Heat pump leaf mesh cover

axg9504September 20, 2009

I have very heavy leaf fall where my outside condensers (2) sit. I want to keep the insides clean. These are Carrier Infinity units and the newer one requires the top grill to be removed to get to the leaves whereas the older one can be cleaned out by removing a side panel.

I am thinking of getting some nylon mesh screening material to fashion covers for these to use when fall begins. Does anyone know if such a product is available on the market?

this seems like a reasonable idea.

don't do it. any type of restriction could cause premature failure of your condenser and most likely would void your warranty.

IMO

There's nothing in there that a few inches of leaves is gonna hurt.
