Guardian air?

PA12August 21, 2012

I am having a new HVAC unit put in and it was suggested that I also install a Guardian Air treatment system. Any feedback about this suggestion? Is it worth it? Is it really effective?

I am not familiar with the Guardian Air product. In general I am not a fan of electronic air cleaners.

Unless someone in the house has a respiratory issue, I recommend getting a 4 inch media filter.

Thanks -- I believe they're putting in a 4" filter already (MERV 8). Should that suffice?

That's what I have and recommend. It should last 6-12 months depending on the usage.
