Can this be good?

While researching top load washers, now with all the restrictions, I'm really puzzled. I know they are trying to save water and energy, understand that. On the non HE washer, you only get a deep rinse if you chose the add fs cycle. But how can a 10 second agitate, followed by a 2.5-3 min. soak followed by drain and final spin possibly be any good?
Guess it will get to the point that a drop of detergent with a tablespoon of water to do laundry, maybe a cup if we're lucky.

Are you talking about the static rinse on GEs? I once read about their washers doing soak-rinses.

How can this be any good? I don't know and don't see how. Fabrics need some agitation to release the detergent solution. Even a spray rinse is better than this. (BTW: just commented on your other thread).

Looks like an epic FAIL. What was GE thinking?
