Maytag Neptune Washer - CLICKING

roamwhereiwant2March 8, 2012

I posted this in the appliance forum by mistake. I think I need the help of you Washer experts.

My Maytag Neptune front loader has started to click during wash cycles. The clicking is coming from the control panel; it's a touch screen. I don't think it's the wax motor going out as my model isn't on that list. It's also not the bearings because when I give the drum a spin, there's no roughness and that's not where the clicking sound is coming from.

I've got to fix this myself (sure can't afford a repair person). I'd sure be grateful for any ideas on what's going wrong with the washer.

Which specific model (full number, including letters & numbers at the end)? There were several Neptune frontloaders produced (including some sourced from Samsung), although far as I know only MAH7500 had a touch screen.
