single or double sink in laundry room?

nikkidanFebruary 17, 2012

I'm trying to get my laundry room design all squared away. Have to decide on a sink so we know how big the sink base cab will be.

I'm thinking single sink, stainless finish, pull out faucet.

What do all you have or recommend?

Single SS, large and deep. That's what I have and am really happy with it.

I also have single SS deep with pull out faucet. Love it. Use it for all kinds of things.

Another single SS sink vote! You might want to consider a D-sink as they are nice and large side to side, but also front to back. Here's the one we went with & I love it. I have soaked heavily soiled garments, washed delicates, and even gave the cat a bath in it!

Ours was from Ikea and it was very deep - deep is better in a laundry room (IMO).

There are a couple others at Ikea now that are deep (ours is no longer available). My neighbor has the one on the link - it's really nice and deep.

We're doing a single and sounds similar to what others have said, I am going with a stainless 9" depth. I also recommend a high faucet so you can fit a bucket under it or water plants, etc. and with a pull down sprayer to make cleaning easier and other such tasks:)
