Fisher Paykel top load dryer - lint screen/retaining ring

munropsJanuary 31, 2014

I have a Fisher Paykel top load dryer. I replaced the lint screen a year or two ago and just recently got a replacement retaining ring. These parts seem to wear down over time.

The lint screen I have and the new retaining ring don't clip together very well, I think the lint screen is already showing signs of wear.

Is there a way I can secure these better without spending another $50 or so on a new lint screen. Is there a heat resistant adhesive tape I could use?

Not understanding why your retaining ring would wear. It's not a moving part (it attaches to the drum and rotates with it but does not move with respect to the drum or filter) and should not be subject to wear ... other than from clothes brushing against it during tumbling.
