The yarn I got for Christmas (pics)

socksDecember 26, 2007

My dear sister went to a yarn shop that was having a going-out-of-business sale and got me the yarn below. Not sure if I have enough of either to make much.

I have 14 .7 oz skeins of this one (20g each). Is there enough to do anything with? Is it fingering weight? (This one is 60 nylon/30 acrylic/10 angora, very soft.)

Would the yarn below make a good scarf? If so, something very simple without much pattern? I have 6 skeins of 50 g each. (It is 63 cotton/17 polyester/15 viscose, 5/nylon.)

Thanks for any suggestions.

Beautiful yarn! Lucky you!!!

Remember you can always double up the yarn even with another type to get the weight or thickness you want.

I see that orange yarn in a lovely wrap style scarf, like for evening wear.
