Seeking vintage Columbia-Minerva knit baby hat pattern

tomboymamaDecember 2, 2008

About 30 years ago, I made some knitted baby hats from a pattern in a Columbia-Minerva book my mom had. The baby hat had a long tail (all the way down the baby's back) with a pom-pom tassel at the end (kind of like an elf hat). The book was likely from the late 60s/early 70s. The cover was kind of darkish green and from my memory had a mom and child on the front, but I could be wrong about that. I would love to have this pattern again. I have searched online for the book but haven't found it and my mom no longer has it either. If anyone can help, I would be so appreciative.

I think I may have the book you're talking about. In fact, if it is the one I am thinking of, I have a duplicate that I would be happy to sell to you at a reasonable price. Send me an email referencing the hat and I will send you a scan of the cover/hat and you can tell me if this is the right one.

If so, your memory serves you well.

And I do have two of these books. If you'd like one of them, let me know.
