Changing colored yarn

rwisniewOctober 11, 2006

I have read several web pages on this and I still don't see how it works...don't you have ton's of ends to weave in?

I was looking at the checkerboard placemat on Bernat

http://www.bernat.com/pattern.php?PID=235

Maybe I just need to start one and see how it goes.

Here is a link that might be useful: Checkerboard Placemat

Yes, you would have many ends to weave in if you follow the pattern as written. But if you use the two colors called for, they are both light colors, you could just stitch over the color not in use at the time. At least, that is what I would do.
