no-chain foundation instructions here

quirkpodSeptember 10, 2006

I have come up with a way to start a new project without having to make a long tedious chain. This method will appear like a chain foundation that has 2 more rows crocheted to it, all in one fast and easy foundation starting row. Make a slip knot on hook. Ch3. DC in 1st ch. *YO. Insert hook under the 2 yarns in foundation ch of DC just made. DC.* Repeat betw * until desired length. What I dont understand is... why hasnt anyone ever done this before or if they did, why not share it here? This is not rocket science. It's about time we abandoned the single chain foundation method. It's a revolution! :-D We are not slaves to patterns or the rules. Hold your yarn however you want to that is most comfortable for you.
