Make a bobble button??

sheilajoyce_gwJuly 27, 2006

I wonder if one could crochet a bobble all by itself, not attached to anything. A little ball, and then use that bobble as a button for a cardigan. It would match the yarn perfectly, of course. Has anyone ever done that?? If so, how?

Sheila, I haven't tried this one yet, but I think this is what you're talking about.

Thanks, Donna. I have spent more on the buttons than on the yarn for some baby sweaters. Will have to try these.

I have been making buttons using the instructions posted above, but I insert a plastic button inside it before pulling the drawstring. You could insert a small bead to make it a round ball shape that is more firm than yarn stuffing.
