Differing striping on triangle shawls

How does one achieve the striping in a triangle shawl where the color runs all the way from the center back point to the front points? I'm making a shawl right now that will vary in yarns and don't know how to do that effect. Anyone?

I'm not exactly clear about what you're asking. Are you saying that rather than run horizontally, you want the stripes to be in a V from point to point? If that is what you are asking, I think I have the pattern for you. It's called Bats in the Belfry Shawl. Send me an email telling me if you want the pattern and I'll get it to you.

I didn't ask if you meant knit or crochet. The Bats pattern is knit. But the Seraphina Shawl is crochet and does the same thing.

You would start with a few stitches at the neck and increase at the ends and in the middle. Here's one simple pattern that does this:
