Heat exchanger

How important is it for both the primary and secondary heat exchanger to be constructed of stainless steel? I noticed that carrier only has the secondary heat exchanger that is stainless steel. Is their lifetime warranty on the both heat exchangers or just the secondary?

The lifetime warranty is on both heat exchangers.
