Hand Scraped Floors

Pros/cons? What are your thoughts? I love the way they look and am surprised they aren't more expensive...

True hand-scraped floors usually are more expensive, but much of what you see on the market now is done by machine. Depending on the process I think HS floors can range from lovely to silly looking. Assuming they're solid wood they can be sanded down and refinished if needed, although the scraping effect will be removed/reduced.
