So Simple, So Awesome! Mad Yummy Broccolini!

I have a big new favorite.

Last night I was using up the last of my pizza dough before it went weird and I didn't really have a plan. It seemed to me that the broccolini that also needed using would be good, but it wasn't cooked, and it seemed oh, too much to get out a pan to steam in the steam oven. I already had out my cute one quart saucier out to do the pizza veg, but doing just one sprig of the broccolini seemed mean since it needed using. So, I chopped it all up in small inches and sauteed it in two batches.

What's so special about that, you're wondering? A quick saute to emerald in extra light olive oil then a drizzle of balsamic vinegar? I was thinking pizza, so I added a pinch of crushed red chili peppers! Just a minute or less with the balsamic and pepper. Just to good and mixed and bright but still crunchy.

How can I tell you how yummy it is? Fab on the pizza with mixed tiny tomatoes and baby bell pepper rings. Amazing cold out of the dish because I can't help myself.

Anyone else have a favorite spice or twist that brings out a vegetable?

I do the same as you with many vegetables.

Olive oil, balsamic, but I often add a few drops of fish sauce.

I also quick fry some garlic in the oil.

Truffle salt . . . a light sprinkle of grated cheese . . . Quick turn under the broiler . . .
