oyster gray grout?

newchapterDecember 19, 2010

Does anyone have any photos of tile grouted with oyster gray from home depot? I have beige porcelain tile and Im stuck on the grouting color. I dont want to do something too dark, but I dont want something very light either.

Thanks.

I do have a photo, but I don't think it shows well. I shot in natural light so the flash wouldn't wash out the color.

Shot at F1.4, so a very narrow depth of field which made the foreground and background a bit blurry.

I'd classify it as a medium gray.

Thank you! It actually looks beige on my monitor?

Agree, that's why I was reluctant to even post the photo. In that photo it does look a little beigey or even pinkish on my monitor in some areas.

Here's another shot. I'll leave it oversized. These photos are of my fireplace surround. Not sure if the hue in the left of the photo is a reflection of the rust-colored fireplace screen, or a little staining from fireplace smoke.

But towards the right side of the photo is a more unadulterated look of the oyster color.

For reference, the tiles are 1" by 3".

Mongoct, that grout color is perfect for those tiles! I am having a touch time picking a grout color for tiles for my kitchen and your picture is helping me.

I have her the color chart and the Oyster Gray looks so gray but on your wall, it is a light taupe nice neutral color. Mongoct, what color do you see on the wall?
