Wondering how latches work on self closing, inset doors ?

Gusto1100May 29, 2012

I never thought this day would come, but thankfully we are finally to the point of ordering hardware for our cabinets. I love the look of latches for my inset doors but am wondering if they even work with the self closing hardware?

I am looking for a latch that works well but I don't really want to spend $26 each - especially if they don't even work on this type of cabinet. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

They work. We have them. We have a teenager who used to make midnight snacks and slam cabinet doors at night. Now we don't hear that--you give the doors a push, they swing close until the last inch or so, then slowly shut.

You should be able to see this on display. Even at a Home Depot
