Wood Floor Finish

gellerSeptember 1, 2011

Our kitchen was renovated a little over two years ago, with new oak floors stained and finished with polyurethane. There are now areas, mostly in front of the sink, that seem to be unfinished (not shiny and whiter than adjacent areas). Is this normal, and what can we do ourselves? Or should we call in the flooring guy and have him refinish with more polyurethane?

White areas are an indicator that the finish has lifted from the wood.

A refinish may be in order. Call 3 floorguys and get estimates.
