white cabinets should I glaze or not

sunnybunchMarch 18, 2014

We are getting custom made kitchen cabinets. I wanted painted white because the kitchen is in back of house with 1 large window and it will help brighten up the area. When looking at the door styles we want shaker. The cabinet maker suggests glazing them to add character and depth. But they all look more antiqued and farmhouse look, I wanted crisp clean. I'm afraid if I don't put some glaze on them they will be too plain. On the website Houzz lots of photos and I can find an answer if the white cabinets are glazed. I can see some that definately are. Any thoughts? I need to do this in 2 days so the builder will get the order in time. Thans
