1/3' tile and 5/8' hardwood flush transition?

brickhouseSeptember 19, 2011

I have thought on this until my brain hurts, I figure there are people here who are much more talented than I am and can do this sort of thing in their sleep.

1/3" thick tile and 5/8" engineered wood floor. What backer board and depth trowel can I use to make them flush or level or darn near?

I used a wood transition strip that matches the hardwood where it meets the slate entry, there was about a 1/4" difference in level, but you would never know it with the transition strip there. Lumber Liquidators should have something you can use
