Harbor Freight Nailer???

love2weedSeptember 10, 2011

Anyone have this flooring nailer? Opinions? We are going to be installing 250 sq. ft. in our family room. We know we can't get it done in a weekend, so we want to buy a low cost air nailer and Harbor Freight has one under $150.00.

I've used several of their tools. They generally get the job done for a lot less bucks than the name brands. Get the $6 warranty and they'll replace it if it breaks.

If you're a "Pro," spend the extra money. For 250 feet, I'd buy it.....

I did 1500 square feet with the Harbor Freight floor nailer. It worked perfectly. Would buy again without hesitation.

I helped my cousin do a 1200 square foot condo with one. It was cheaper than renting one and we could do it on our own schedule, which was worth a LOT! He sold it on Craigslist for $100. Great deal for all around.

It is a Bostich knock off.

I bought one just for the heck of it as a back up, and when my nailer did start jamming. I used it to finish the job. I still use it. I can shoot cleats or staples in it. No other tool I have seen, has that option. That was 4 years ago.

I have since, bought another to have as a back up and the Porta Nailer is still jammed.

I don't know about their nailers, but my son's an auto mechanic and he loves their tools. He said he bought a craftsman torque wrench and the inside parts were plastic and it did not have the lifetime guarantee that all craftsman tools used to have, he took it back and bought one at Harbor Freight for 1/3 the price and it's made of 100% metal- no plastic parts =)
