laying laminate flooring

patches_02September 14, 2011

I have a room that is 15x31 and there is some kind of bump out in both the 31 ft sides so do i run the flooring long ways or across. Didn't know if i'm suppose to have the bowling ally affect or if it would look OK going the other way.

Thank you

How ever you wish, as long a the substrate is flat.
3/16 of an inch, in a 10 feet radius! Grind the high spots and fill the low spots.

If you are on wooden joists, I'd recommend going across the joists, especially if your joist or floor trusses are greater than 16" center.
