Coping through the holidays

GrannieAnnie_MODecember 16, 2012

I mother died on December 20 and as the date approaches I became depressed. This year I am giving the depression the boot! We had always had just a small tree but I bought a lage one and decorated it in early November. When I see how beautiful it is and how it represents hope, my spirits are lifted. Another thing I'm doing is calling my friends more often; especially those dealing with the loss of loved ones. I allow them to vent and I relate something positive or humorous. If I can help someone else, it also helps me.

Yes, the best thing you can do is let people talk about their loved ones.

That's great you put up the bigger tree. I hope it adds happiness to your holidays. And yes, calling your friends is a good thing too.
