porcelain tile wood any benefits for wider planks

golfer57August 21, 2013

Hey guys,

im doing a kitchen remodel with a lot of help from the kitchen forums and i am working on the floors. Even though i have engineered wood in the adjoining family room, ive chosen to use a wood porcelain tile for the kitchen.

My question is the tile i chose comes in two sizes 6 x36 and 9x36. i was thinking to go with the 9in because that means less grout lines but not sure if that would look better ..what do you guys think...

here is a pic..the one i chose is in the middle and that's a 9 in planks
