Recommendations for cork flooring

the_big_badAugust 24, 2010

I'm considering cork floors for the second floor of my house (bedrooms, playroom, hall, stairs). Can you all weigh in with recommendations for brands? I'm interested in the floating floor variety and want decent quality but don't necessarily want to break the bank.

US floors makes an excellent cork product. There is some real junk out there so buyer beware. Wicanders also is a notable grade.

We have had good experience with Ipocork produced by Amorim who owns Wicander. But has a quite much more affordable. The most impressive part is its 6 coats of Wear Resistance Technology varnish.

Here is a link that might be useful: Ipocork Cork Flooring
