Is merbau same as brazilian cherry? Plus more questions
We have this in our den and thinking about putting it in the kitchen. It's an engineered merbau wood made by ozark mountain company. I think the company was bought by another company and I can't find it. A flooring place I went to said brazilian cherry is the same thing. Also, their flooring was very expensive.
I'm reading from this forum to not try to match, but I dont know how to transition the look because the room runs into the kitchen. (Which is tile) So any suggestions are welcome!
The wood I have in den is pretty scratched up- I have rough kids with lots of friends and it has/had an acrylic finish on it. It's 3" wide and 5/16" deep.
Oh and if I magically find this stuff, can I lay it over the tile?
