wood flooring question

im installing maple flooring and theres linolium where it go's. but im putting down 1/4" underlament. do i have to pull the linolium or can i put the underlament over the linolium? thanks terry

I assume you need the 1/4" underlayment for added height. Doesn't matter how you will be attaching the flooring...you can go right over the linoleum, sheet vinyl, or whatever it is.
