I'd like to know what wood species my 100 yr old kitchen floor is. I haven't a clue
a better pic
Most of it looks like yellow/heart pine.
I have a house full of it.
Thanks Casey..Are the pecks natural? At some point someone put oak over all the floors but the kitchen and the upstair rooms. I like the old floors better. The kitchen steps down one board thickness so I know they're still under there. I've been scraping wallpaper off the plaster and see the dust on the floor.

Thanks..The floors are in excellent shape.
It looks like vertical grain yellow (hard) pine. The lighter sections are sapwood and the darker sections are heartwood.

Don't know why the two pics above deleted..this shows the newer floors & the doorframe in the kitchen. I think it's pine also and the newer floors oak. Am I right? Thanks
I've a ?..if I delete a pic from photobucket after posting it does that delete it from here?
