Pall-X 96 or Synteko Classic?

wynswrld98July 10, 2014

I'm having a 400 s.f. red oak floor sanded down, stained and finished by a pro. He's giving me the option of Pall-X 96 or Synteko Classic for finish at same price. I don't like high-gloss wood floors and am after some kind of satin finish.

Anyone have any recommendations, pros/cons of these products?

We went with Pall-X 96 - mostly because it won't yellow (on maple floors). Its not shiny, and though still new, I'm quite happy with it. It dried really quickly, though. That gave the installers some heartburn. It ends up with a somewhat streaky appearance because of the rapid drying.
