Intermittent burning sensation covering nose
Starting several weeks ago, I have intermittent burning sensations covering my nose that last a few seconds. They might occur a few times a day, or not at all on a given day.
This is NOT due to a burn, or blushing/flushing, or the result of touching my nose, or related to heat; it just comes and goes on its own with no apparent pattern or relationship to my environment, and (so far) only on my nose and the immediate area around the edges. There is nothing I can see on my nose that looks unusual or different than normal.
As far as I know, I don't have any skin disorder.
However, I have had a series of health issues the past few months including a bad cold immediately followed by shingles (on my torso, NOT my face), and sores at the corners of my mouth --- all suggesting a weakened immune system. On top of that, lots of stress. Otherwise, I am (as far as I know!) in excellent health.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? I've never felt anything like this before.
