CD players

All my CD players resume play at the first of a disc if play is interrupted for any reason. Most of my DVD players resume at the point where last stopped. I would like that for the CD so that interruptions, phone rings, family gathers to eat, do not require starting over with the disc. Any CD players work that way?

On Sony Micro component sets like the 5 disc CMT-HP* the remote has a pause CD play function button with a symbol like a quotation mark between the start and stop buttons. On the unit itself pressing the chose CD function button (there is also a choose Tape and choose Radio button) while a CD is playing will pause the player. Press it again will resume play.

Don't know how widespread these functions are on any other products from Sony or other brands.
