i have a older bose system that only has bare speaker wire hookups how do i connect my tv to it??

Run your leads from each speaker to the TV, get two 3.5mm headphone male plugs, install them on the speaker wire at the TV. Get a 3.5mm Y cable 2F to 1M - plug the male plugs into the F sides of the Y cable, plug the M end of the Y able into your TV and viola!

If you TV doesn't have a 3.5mm audio input, all bets are off.
