Vytorin for cholesterol

Has anyone taken this drug for lowering cholesterol? If so, did it work for you, and how long before you saw any results? Also, did you have any side effects from taking it?

My husband is taking Vytorin. He was on 80mg of Zocor for about 3 years. His cholesterol was running from 180 to 200. But since he has diabetes his doctor put him on Vytorin 10/40mg in December to see if his cholesterol could be lowered. He had a blood test 60 days after starting the Vytorin. Still in the same range at 184. I think more time is needed to get the final results on it. He has had no side affects.

I've only been taking Vytorin for a little over a week. I sure hope that it does some good. After your husband has been on it for 60 days and not showing any results is not too encouraging. Hope it gets better for him.
