old glue, remove? do we need to for laminate?

treasureforuJune 20, 2010

We are planning to install a laminate floor on concrete and adding the extra layer of moisture barrier protection. We removed a small area of hardwood by the front door that was put down when the house was built about 12 yrs ago. That floor was glued down so do we need to remove the glue before we start laying the moisture barrier? Do we need to remove all of the glue or just the ridges that it left? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

No it is not required to remove it, especially if you are using a good thick underlay

What kind of moisture barrier do you mean here?
