A lovely afternoon

alisandeJanuary 2, 2005

I had such a nice time today at the home of my daughter Jill's best friend. I was there for three hours, and we talked about Jill the entire time. It felt so good. She showed me a home movie from 8th grade--four girls, including Jill, dancing on the grass. So nice to see that. It was clear that we both needed to talk about her.

That sounds like a very special healing afternoon.

Susan, I know how special these times are! I'm so glad that you got to spend time with Jill's friend. When I'm with Christin's friends it makes me feel so happy for the most part. It almost makes me feel that I am going back in time to the day when she was here too. It's a good feeling to know that they want to talk about them and they miss them so much. It makes me realize that I am not totally alone in my grief. I love hearing stories that I had never heard before or see pictures that I've never seen.
So glad that you had this time!
