Garage door question

cardsfan19December 26, 2007

My craftsman garage door when in the open postition to close hits the floor, pauses for a second and goes right back up. The garage door works fine in the manual position. Any thoughts on what the problems.

If the door hits the door too hard, the safety senses the door has run into something and reverses it to the open position. On the side of the motor unit you will find the 'down limit' control. Turn this a little in the opposite direction of the arrow printed on the cover. You may have to tweak it a bit to get it right.
