Craftsman Door opener 139.53413 not recognizing limit settings

malrDecember 6, 2009

Hello,

I am a Craftsman 139.53413 model opener.

It has stopped responding to the up/down limit settings and I am looking for ways to remedy this, or at least test for what part of the process is going haywire.

It stills operates in both directions but will only stop when crunching into the stop bolt in the up position.

I have adjusted both up and down limit screws in both directions and they have no effect on how far the door will travel.

Ideas?

I would suspect a bad logic board. Make sure the gray wire is still connected to the center contact of the limit switch assembly.
