Terrazzo Tile Discoloration

lolliJune 12, 2012

We just had terrazzo tile installed in a bath that we are renovating. We had bought the terrazzo from a tile dealer on Craig's List and when we bought it there was a discoloration around the edges. The dealer said it was just due to moisture and that it would resolve over time. 6 months later all the tiles still have the discoloration. The installed tiles are dark around the edges and the uninstalled tiles sitting in our garages are in the same state. We've tried sealing, nano-scrubbing, enhancing (which made it worse) and nothing seems to help. I've tried calling the dealer that we bought them from and he is not responding - shocker!

Does anyone have any ideas about what could be causing this discoloration? Any recommendations on how to remedy it?

Thanks in advance!
