Metal Bed Frames: Is there a way to hide them w/out a bed skirt?

kathyhcOctober 24, 2011

Are there metal bedframes that are mostly hidden from view without the use of a dust ruffle / bed skirt?

I haven't been able to find a headboard I like for my eastern king, and I'm sick of my boxspring and mattress being on the floor. I'm now looking at getting a simple metal bedframe, but I want one that isn't visible. Is this possible?

My objection to bedskirts/dust ruffles is that my apartment is already so dusty, that I don't want it to get worse.

Also, do the more expensive metal frames make a difference? I was looking at the Knickerbocker frames and thinking about waiting for a big sale since they are so expensive.

Hi Kathy,

I use a frame, similar, to this. (IE.HOLLYWOOD FRAME)

As far as the frame showing....perhaps a bedspread, which is wider than a quilt or comforter.

Here is a link that might be useful: bedframe
