Tile Question for the professionals

buildinnjMay 29, 2011

We have two large areas that we would like to tile in a new construction house. The tiles that we have selected are 24"x24" "rectified" tiles. We would like really small to practically no grout lines.

I was wondering if you all could help me get some ideas around how much it would cost to do something like this. Its located in central NJ approximately 950+Sqft. Im mostly wondering about the labor cost.

Thanks for your help.

That number sounds about right. Bear in mind that with a tile of that size, you'll need a very flat floor...shoot for no more than 1/8" variation over 10 feet. You'll also want a good tile mechanic. Big tiles aren't easy to set properly. I would set them using the Tuscan Leveling System. Google or YouTube it.
