Garage track wheel off track

angelagAugust 9, 2007

My manual garage door has several wheels on each side of the door to keep it on track opening and closing. The top wheel on each side of the door has a separate track just above the other track. One of the top wheels came off and I can't figure out how to get it back on the track, as the wheel is a little bit wider than the track. There is no wide place on the track to reinsert the wheel.

I can take the wheel off the door and put it into the track, but if I do that, getting it back on the door would be even harder than getting it back on the track, I think, due to the 4 or 5" piece of metal that hooks the wheel back into the door. (Don't worry if you can't figure out what I'm saying here. I'm feeling pretty inarticulate.)

It's a Windsor Door model 535. When I looked it up on the web, I found no instructions for this or any other Windsor model.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Never mind. I figured it out on my own.
