Sears GDO works but overhead lighting won't

Though the GDO functions fine, the trip sensor no longer turns on the lights. I tried replacing what i thought were dead bulbs go. One of the just replaced sensors has an amber light. Realign? or replace?

Try holding in the light button on your wall control for 10 seconds. This should toggle this function on and off.

Thank you. Doing what you suggested and finding the manual in my highly efficient filing system gave me a few more ideas that finally worked. It seems that some of the new energy efficient light bulbs have a non standard base that will thread into the sockets but never make contact.
