Old Craftsman garage door opener

kennybobAugust 3, 2008

This oldie still is a goody - except the on/off switch for the light is erratic.

Model 139.655000, has a leaf switch to connect/disconnect light circuit.

Parts no longer available from Sears, but it seems like I should be able to get such a switch.

I've cleaned the terminals, and bent the leaves slightly with varying degrees of success. I'd like to replace the switch with an "off delay" one that works.

Any suggestions?

I think if you call around you will find the part. It is called "light delay assembly" and the part number is 1A35QB. You might even try Sears again and give them the part number.
