Garage door opener won't open

bassbumJune 27, 2007

We had a short power failure today because of storms and when the power went back on, my garage door opener is not working. There is power to the unit but neither the remotes or the wall button will operate the door. Did the surge blow the logic board? Any thoughts?

That is the most probably thing. I would pull the logic board out of the unit and check it for missing or burnt traces. These are repairable.
