Garage opener works from wall switch but not from remotes

diggitydApril 1, 2008

Craftsman 1/2 hp unit works perfectly from the wall mounted hard wired button. But no remotes will work. I have tried reprogramming the remotes and it takes. When I click the remote button the green light on the opener itself flashes but the door will not open or close.

So it seems the receiver is getting the signal from the remote but is not telling the unit to open or close. Again the wall switch performs perfectly with one quick push all the way open and closed. Any help? Thanks.

Check to see if the light in the wall control button is flashing. If it is hold the lock button in for 3 seconds and try your remotes. If you also have a wireless keypad that is not working this will not be your problem. I would then suspect a bad logic board.
