Help with Craftsman remote garage opener

kaybobApril 20, 2008

I have two remotes that have been working flawlessly in the last 6 years. All of a sudden, they work intermediately. Strange thing about this is that our neighbors are experiencing the same thing. We have replaced the batteries, reprogrammed the remotes and made sure that the antennae was unobstructed and cleaned from dust.

When I called our local Sears store, their reply was to buy a new opener?!?!?!?! Has anyone solved this mystery? Is it a receiver issue and if so, is this something we replace ourselves?

Thanks for the help!

Has anything electrical been added to the neighborhood or to your or the neighbors garage? Does the problem happen at the same time with yours and the neighbors?
